About
Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m an Atlanta-based unit still photographer with a not-so-traditional path into the film world. I actually started out as a background actor and stand-in, all while freelancing as a photographer and graphic designer. What began as curiosity (and a way to make some extra cash) turned into the best kind of hands-on education, giving me a real feel for how sets work. With that foundation, and the guidance of my mentor, Hopper Stone, I was able to make the leap into unit still photography.
As an Asian American woman and transracial adoptee, representation behind the camera is deeply important to me. I want other women (especially women of color) to see that there’s space for us in this industry. Diverse perspectives don’t just belong here, they make the stories we tell stronger and more meaningful.
Over the years, I’ve developed an eye for storytelling and a knack for adapting in the moment (because we all know set life doesn’t always go as planned). I’ve been lucky to work with some incredible clients, including AppleTV+, The CW, Warner Brothers, and Fox.
When I’m not on set, you’ll find me in Marietta, GA, where I live with my husband and our two cats, Kirby and Mr. Peanut Butter.
